It’s amazing how much the dark malt comes through in this, I really didn’t expect it to be so prominent of a stout flavor from the dark malts. It’s like a chocolate bourbon. Nothing bad about it, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. Tasted from a sample from a friend.

Nose is black berries, caramel, vanilla, slight anise. Palate charrred oak, more dark berries, fills the mouth with flavors and the berries are what are predominant to me. Finish is first short and slightly drying, then returns with berries , then oak slightly later. Interesting it comes to me in waves. Very nice whisky!! My only complaint is slight astringency, presumably from the advanced age. It was minor, but present enough to bug me. This was a sample I received from a friend

Caramel, black pepper, cinnamon on the nose, just keeps evolving and getting better and better. Coats the palate with same flavors, rich and delicious. Medium finish. Complex, different flavors every time I go back for a sip.

So good. My only complaint is I think a lot of wheated bourbons are lacking body. I get caramel and apple on the nose. Lighter body than I’d like, good flavor. Short finish, lingering sweetness like the nose.

Not bad. Not great. Was hoping for a higher proof version of the single barrel release, but this ain’t that. Will probably end up using it as a mixer

Tastes grainy and young. I tried it next to their wheat whiskey and this was light years better, but I wouldn’t buy either. Not bad, but not mature enough for my preferences

Didn’t like this at all at first, but after breathing some, it’s pretty nice. Tastes a bit young and not super potent flavors, but nice.

Cinnamon spice on the palate, really well done. Not much in the way of nose or finish, but an easy drinker and well balanced. Easily the best MI made bourbon I’ve had.

I like this quite a bit. Pleasant nose, stone fruit and some herbs, palate is similar with fruit and some apple upfront, more muted flavors than I’d expected from the more pronounced nose and I think a bit of the alcohol burn mutes the flavors as well, medium long finish. Cherry lingers forever.
