    A true sherry bomb. Rich, oily, and extremely powerful. Adding water barely tamped it down, like throwing Dasani on a grease fire. Not for the meak, but I like beastly drams.

    I'm bumping the rating up a tad here because this used to be one of the best easy-to-find value bourbons out there. Sadly, Elijah Craig no longer uses the age statement to keep up with the demand.

    I'm rating this for the sake of posterity, but I'm not telling anyone anything new here. This whiskey is meant for cocktails. The kind of cocktails that come in a red plastic solo cup.

    Not as much flavor as I would have liked here as I tasted more pure alcohol than anything else, even with a pretty standard ABV of 46%. The spice notes on the finish were nice, but I got heartburn afterwards.

    My first Caol Ila. A lot peatier than I expected. Slight touch of lemon to the robust finish.

    Fruity and flavorful with a nice finish. However, I could have used more than the 80 proof offered here. Similar to Glenmorangie's Quinta Ruban, but not as full bodied.

    The Bunnahybrid! Do you want sherry or do you want peat? How about both? Well crafted. Oily and full bodied with a layered finish.

    I found this lighter and more citric than other bourbons. Features a bit of a spice kick at the end so I'm guessing it has a fair amount of rye in the mash bill.

    Caramel and brown sugar aroma. Technically a Texas whiskey, but similar to a bourbon. I'm glad experiments with different corn like this are being done, but I wouldn't buy this again.
