Tastes

Not terrible but nothing special. Tasted at a friend’s place. Was told it was ‘cheap’ and if that’s the case it’s really not bad at all for the price. Would be a good mixer and a small step up to replace Beam/Jack with some Coke. Ironically 2 stars gets 2 stars. But maybe that’s exactly the market they are going for with the whisky.

Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed May 17, 2018 (edited December 24, 2018)It’s Jack. Nothing crazy about it but there’s something I just like about JD being the first whiskey I drank a ton of. Tastes like a better version of nostalgia. -
Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 17, 2018 (edited December 24, 2018)Light, sweet and no peat. Reminds me a lot of Belvenie Caribbean Cask. Honey and toffee up front and maybe a little citrus on the after. Like it a lot. -

Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 20, 2017 (edited December 24, 2018)Nose is vanilla and cherry. Nice spicy finish. Added a little water and it seemed to bring out some more of the oak. Enjoyed it! -
