Aberfeldy 15 Year French Red Wine Cask Finish
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Tasted this with the Edinburgh Whisky Academy. True Scotch whisky. Lovely after the maturation process in ex-bourbon casks. The nose was woody, almost oaky, but also almost like freshly mulch wood shavings. The palate consisted of vanilla, apples, a little citrus and honey, with just a slight spice.Edinburgh Whisky Academy

The Dalmore 14 is currently my favorite of the Dalmore line. Its affordable, flavorful and easy for introducing friends to Highland Scotch. It has a strong nose with notes of cinnamon, raisin, and fig. On the palate, it hits with cherry, red grape, apple, and spice cloves. The finish is one of cranberry, butterscotch, and pepper. Additionally, it has great legs on the glass when doing a tasting which is always fun to watch.83.0 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More
