nose - strong heat, roasted corn, burnt caramels, rye spice body - rich, sweet then hint of bitterness. peppery. not overly complex but packs a big punch for 94 proof finish - long and warm, again impressive for only 94 proof. warmth and flavor feels like this should be north of 100

nose - vanilla sweet cream, ends with spices and cloves palate - instant sweet heat, then grassy herbal notes finish - long and warm Not a bad pour especially for a brisk night, but a little thinner than expected. I thought it would open up more which left me wanting for a little more complexity

nose - nothing special, light vanilla and caramel, subtle baking spices palate - the body is much better than the nose. surprisingly pleasant and flavorful, sweet, bright, floral, vanilla cream; medium viscosity. tastes young but very drinkable finish - immaturity with a hint of harshness comes out at the end but not at all astringent, medium warmth on the finish Well-crafted overall at 101 proof. Beautiful bottle. Received this as gift so unable to speak about its value for the price but it is one that I would be proud to share with enthusiast friends

nose - floral, honey, oak and sherry, leather body - sweet warm vanilla, pears, spicy peppers, malted grains; the bourbon notes from the nose does not carry into the palate, this finishes like a highland scotch finish - long and warm Not the most characteristic Japanese whisky, but it is quite enjoyable. Would be a good transition for bourbon drinkers
