Nose - sharp rye spices, notes of wet grass and dill Palate - sweet, spicy, rye forward, dill pickle, ends on notes of licorice, tastes a bit hotter than 90 proof Finish - medium length, warm Decent rye for a small distillery, not overly complex, but gets the job done. Would be nice to enjoy on cold winter weekday evening.

Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Batch Proof 118.4
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 15, 2022 (edited July 23, 2022)Nose - chocolate cherries and oak Palate - warm, sweet, fruity and floral and then dark chocolate notes with leather and tobacco at the end Finish - long and warm Great batch. Not exceptional for a $129 retail but it is a solid bourbon -
Nose - classic vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, baking spices, cinnamon Palate - sweet candied fruit, cinnamon roll, full bodied (but less viscous than OWA), notes of peanut brittle and tiny hint of chocolate Finish - long especially for a 97 proof Quality but not worth the secondary… OWA has greater complexity and better mouthfeel with the added bonus of availability

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 3, 2022 (edited June 5, 2022)Nose - sweet candied corn, spices, vanilla mint Palate - full bodied mouthfeel, moderate viscosity, complex layers of sweet vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, rye and baking spices that end in oak and tobacco Finish - long, hot, pleasant One of the best bourbons out there period. Best part is the availability and still reasonable price point. -
2 year old bourbon bottled at cask strength of 98 proof. Extremely flavorful and full bodied for a young bourbon under 100 proof. Very pleasant notes of balanced vanilla and caramel, baking spices, and warmth. High rye mashbill is evident. Very well done for this craft distillery.55.0 USD per Bottle

Peerless Double Oak Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 25, 2022 (edited December 21, 2022)Nose - delicious deep woody notes of vanilla Palate - rich mouthfeel, hits with vanilla sweetness, opens to pepper and clove spices, ends on dark cocoa and oak notes. The leather and tobacco is much more apparent than the regular peerless single barrel offering in a head-to-head tasting Finish - warm and lasting finish Excellent flavor. It can stand its ground with the high end peerless single barrel store picks and provides a unique dimension. One of the more memorable bourbons out there -
Nose - sweet and spicy, very similar to the 101 bourbon but more herbal and mint scents Palette - minty baking spices, rye flavors shine through at the end with some bitterness Finish - oak on the finish. medium length. Warm. Not bad for a $22 bottle. Similar in caliber to its bourbon counterpart. Solid value rye pour
