Tastes

May have gotten unlucky with a bad batch, but got a bottle and tasted with friends. The unanimous consensus was that this is truly astringent. We poured it down the drain. Tastes like what I imagine paint thinner or nail polish remover would be. Tried adding some drops of water to it, and it did not open up any bourbon flavours. Instead, it tasted like cough syrup. I truly hope that I've just gotten unlucky with bad batches because I have sincerely tried to root for this smaller distillery. Extremely disappointed.

Nose - sweet, spicy, with a hint of orange; Palate - full of vanilla, sweetness, and rye that goes down very smoothly for lack of a better description; Finish - moderate to long with spice notes shining through

Nose - heavy notes of caramel and vanilla - classic bourbon corn and honey, alcohol not overwhelming Palate - floral, buttery, sweet, rich and oily, vanilla, caramelized cherry, notes of oak, spices at the end shine through Finish - long and warm, slowly goes down Solid bourbon. Don't know how it compares to the previous cask strength versions, but I'm not disappointed with this at 108.3 proof. Enjoyable and complex bottle for 60 USD.

Nose - nutty, buttery, and some floral notes ; Palate - rich full bodied sweetness, buttery with baking spices and cinnamon, rye notes; Finish - long warm finish with notes of peanut butter and spice that slowly travels down the throat

nose - bold creamy chocolate with freshly baked cake; Palate - rich and complex, full bodied chocolate and caramel, creamy mouth feel, notes of cake; moderate to long savory finish of oak and tobacco OHLQ selection, 1 baked American pure stave, 1 maker's 46, 8 roasted French mocha

Nose with caramel and vanilla, palate not very sweet, it has notes of salty and vanilla, medium to long finish with dark chocolate notes
