Nose is very flat. Initial taste is of sweet, grassy apples that quickly carries on to the mid palate, giving a hint of vanilla once there. Stunningly quick transition to the finish with a definite IPA taste leading to a long lasting astringent finish. Limited complexity.
Honey, apples, alcohol and slight grain scent on nose. Honey and spice on the palate. Small hints of fruit. Finish is spicy, which overwhelms the sweetness. Big alcohol finish. 82.
Full peat smoke on the nose with an anticipation of something savory on the palate. Once tasted, smoky sweetness on the tongue. Fruit and tobacco with a slight medicinal note. Savored finish. One of the best IMO. 94.
Delicious briny smoke on the nose. On palate, savory beef anticipation gives way to unexpected sweetness with slight hint of a medicinal note. Rich and full, will not be everybody’s cup of tea. Refined. A great dram.
Buttery shortbread cookies and honey. Traditional Irish whisky in all the good ways. Sweet, baking notes, with slight spiciness. Delicious and a crowd pleaser. A go-to whisky at a great price.
