Tastes

This is very good especially at it’s price point. The nose includes caramel, baking spices, maple and oak. The sip hit with a soft sweet creamy note but then comes the rye spice kick we all enjoy. The finish is complex with notes of cinnamon, apple pie, vanilla and oak. This is a great whiskey to drink neat.

Berries are very present on the nose along with cinnamon and cereal. The first sip delivers those notes on the palate, but then honey and cereal creep in. As it opens up more, a hint of leather and oak are present on the finish. This is a good Wheated Bourbon with a smooth mouthfeel at a reasonable price.

This is a staple for anyone’s whiskey collection. It is a very good complex bourbon with tons of flavor. At it’s price point though there are other bottles I prefer.
