Boulder Spirits American Single Malt Sherry Cask Finish
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed April 12, 2022I’m an agent and tried this at an industry tasting event. My favourite of the line up. The agent worded it well saying it “was a bourbon for Scotch drinkers”. Sweetness and flavours of bourbon married with the dryness and tannins of the oak giving it a scotch like finish. Will definitely be buying a bottle. This is not a line I rep.Langley Township -
Tasted the new Core Malt Rye. It is my favourite whiskey. I find a drop of water and letting it breathe for 2 minutes really opens up the whiskey. You can really smell a loaf of rye when nosing a dram afterwards. Not basic, not complex, very easy drinking. I’ve yet to try making a manhattan with it because I’ve enjoyed it so much straight (with that drop of water).

Isle Of Harris Gin
Modern Gin — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed April 7, 2020 (edited September 26, 2020)Extraordinary well balanced. Juniper and pine with citrus, spice, hint of green herbs on the nose echoed on the palate. Finish is medium to long with nice warming, pepper and a subtle saltiness. By far my favourite gin. Sooo smooth, I think it is best served neat. Maybe with a wedge of grapefruit but not even necessary. Luv, luv, luv this gin.
