Nose is sweet, with notes of toffee. First sip is sweet and fruit. Transitions to a mint and spice medium length finish. Loses the mint notes with the addition of water. Overall, this is an excellent neat sipping Rye, that also works very well in an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.19.99 USD per BottleTun Alley

Nose is a combination of sweet notes mixed with rye spice. First sip is sweet, with notes of caramel. Finish is a quick flash of rye spice and a moderate linger that is just a little sweet. Hard to identify some of the notes individually but the overall taste is great. The mouthfeel is excellent, especially on the rocks, though it does mellow out a little too much on the rocks for my liking. Overall, this is an excellent rye for the price, better than the more expensive Templeton 4 year and only marginally inferior to the almost twice as expensive Templeton 6 year.22.99 USD per BottleNavy Exchange

Nose is cedar wood and mild apple. First sip is mildly sweet, with notes of apple and rye mingling before an influx of baking spices that linger for a long time. Interestingly, a splash of water adds to the spices and diminishes the apple notes. This makes it a little less enjoyable on its own, but makes for a more flavorful cocktail. Overall, this is a pretty solid Rye.19.99 USD per BottleNavy Exchange

Nose is incredibly floral. First sip is incredible. Notes of the quinine and floral bouquet hit you in the face and yet you love it. The finish is a little strong--as is most gin straight. Adding 2:1 ratio of club soda and putting on ice changes the game: all the joy of a spectacular Gin and Tonic, with none of the sugar.46.99 USD per Bottle

Nose is has very slight hints of pine (although not necessarily classic juniper), but then earthy mint and spices. The first sip is a blast from the past. They say they wanted to put Indiana forests in liquid form, and I think they did it. The light pine and herb flavors kiss your tongue, then the interesting and very pleasant mint, presumably from the Zuta, chases the initial flavors away and lingers wonderfully, leaving a warm sensation. When used in a Gin and Tonic, the sweetness of the Tonic accentuates the mint, making the feeling even better. Overall, this is an excellent Gin. Probably not an everyday Gin, given the heavy mint flavor, but when you are in the mood for the mint or missing the forest, this is a remarkable Gin for the job.40.0 USD per BottleCardinal Spirits
