to me it smells like being near a pool or a hot-tub, but for anyone that HASN'T tried it, DON'T think it's a BAD thing... gives me an instant positive memory. Puts me in that zone. Smells kinda bourboney as well, sweet, especially after airing out in a rocks glass neat. Very smokey, very tasty for being cask strength. While not my favorite Glenlivet in particular, definitely a damn good scotch.

I tasted it straight and I dug it, I mean I dig pretty much any bourbon so far, even Evan Williams, on it's own I didn't taste too much distinction but I liked it. It wasn't till I had it with cola that I really noticed the flavor, since i'm so used to drinking bourbon with cola. I'm anxious to try it in other bourbon cocktails I drink such as Whiskey Sour & whatever a Bourbon and Cream Soda is called. Those are my 3 go-to's depending on how soon i want to sleep after.

maybe it's great as a mixer, but it doesn't taste smooth drinking it up, not even after letting air out for more than an hour. the scent gets slightly better, but not buttery like makers. the lingering aftertaste on my tongue kinda tastes like cinnamon if it was a basketball court away from me, trying to scream but much too far away to hear any words

I liked it better than Jack Daniels, but after selling so much at my liquor store I kinda figured there'd be more to it. Have not tried other irish whiskies yet though. Update: my opinion of it after being held in my mouth for a while before swallowing and exhaling is a bit higher. I will have a better review of it soon once I have more of it.
