High West Double Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed September 4, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Very piney, but not so much that it's annoying. -
Templeton Rye 4 Year
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Iowa), USA
Reviewed August 28, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Man smells so good. So tasty!! Completely amazing straight. Such a sweet full finish. While most whiskeys I like to add a spoonful of water to a shot to try, I think this whisky doesn't need it. The water doesn't bring out the scents and tastes as much as it dulls it(reverse effect) so keep it straight. My favorite rye so far.... -
Bulleit Rye
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USA
Reviewed August 25, 2016 (edited October 18, 2016)Not bad frozen, wanna try it room temperature, but only frozen was available but seems really smooth. UPDATE: This is an awesome rye... Lots of pine needle taste like each my roommates agreed it has kind of a gin vibe but: the pine is there, it's distinctive, you could pick this rye out with a blindfold, but it's NOT annoying, not invasive. Highly recommended over the bourbon... -
Lagavulin 16 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 20, 2016 (edited February 26, 2016)Invasive and friendly, an aftertaste that stays with you a half hour after a dram. Might be the best scotch I've ever had. The scent is amazing.
