Tastes

Strong caramel base flavor with hints of vanilla. Goes down smoothly with mild burn. Solid rum overall. I personally would not buy it again.

Has subtle hints of sweetness of vanilla and other flavors. Feels empty and leaves me wanting more.

Solid beginner rum. Hints of vanilla and oak. A lot stiffer than other runs with burn in tongue and mouth.

Would rate at 3.5z Hints of butterscotch, vanilla, and caramel. It's a wonderful rum, but I wish some of the sweeter flavors would be more pronounced.

I would rate closer to a 4.5. The rum is extremely rich, with flavors of vanilla and dark sugars. Does have a more noticed burn than it's brethren. A very well-balanced rum, but I would buy two or three bottles of the 12 year over this one.
