The malt comes through readily on the nose as a warm bread with a hint of sweetness. The palate adds a fruity sweetness of spiced fruit cocktail. The medium finish is mostly baking spice. Overall, a nice friendly, straightforward whiskey to just sit and enjoy.

It's easy to see why this is popular. The aging has knocked off all the sharp edges in the flavor profile. Vanilla on the nose with sour overripe cherries on the palate. The finish lingers and that's where the wood shows up most, but without the bitterness wood can sometimes contribute.
