Jefferson's Very Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 8, 2020 (edited November 28, 2020)Very light grain and hay on the nose with a hint of pear. The first taste begins with a mix of sweet cinnamon and nutmeg followed by a spicy black pepper mid note. The flavor rounds out with a finality of smoke and leather creating a well rounded sipping bourbon without the intense price tag. -
Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 6, 2020 (edited January 7, 2021)Sweet maple and honey along with sweet toasted oats and malt on the initial nose. The first taste is smooth with a spicy caramel front. The back end has a continued honey draw with smoke and the clean finish with the typical rye spice. A beautiful expression of what you would want from a quality rye that is great for those who have not been introduced to rye and deep enough to satisfy even the most concerning palates. Great quality rye whiskey for everyone. -
Beautiful and bright gin with a slight hint of blood orange. Definitely no juniper in this gin as it carries a smooth, sea air salty sweetness that is round and balanced. The slight hint of blood orange sweetness rounds out on the palate for a great sipping gin or flavored cocktail base. Well done Malfy!!

Blue Note Premium Small Batch Bourbon 9 Year
Bourbon — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 23, 2020 (edited October 8, 2020)Strong on the nose and strong on the first taste. This cask strength version has some major intensity. Flavors of oak and caramel to start with a spicy aftertaste. It is good to try in a group, but be prepared for the cask strength to dictate the taste. -
Too strong and not enough variance for a true bourbon. Sharp on both the front and back with good spice flavor, but missing depth. Even when mixed, the bourbon still misses the mark. The distiller is said to have flash aged the bourbon by added heat and cooling the barrel, so it’s not truly aged as the statement on the bottle. This truly shows in the end product.

Wow! This gin has such an amazing depth of flavor that’s so perfectly balanced and not too heavy with the alcohol aftertaste that you get with typical dry gins. The overall flavor is smooth and it makes the most pleasant Gin and Tonic with botanicals that round out the bitterness of the tonic. Definitely worth a try!39.99 USD per BottleBuster's Liquors & Wines
