A perfectly average scotch for a simple drink kind of evening. Strong vanilla honey on the nose then toasted oat and oak on the palate.

Smells like a banana split sitting on a fresh cedar platter, tastes like maple vanilla and a hint of malt. Combined you get the perfect hint of banana pudding experience without all the sweetness and carbs. Oaky finish on the back of the palate is mild and appropriate to bring you back to the fact that you’re drinking whiskey and not actually eating dessert. This is smooth. This is delicious. Do not pass this bottle up.

Alcohol bite is too strong, even after sitting for a while. Otherwise this is a reasonably average 12yr scotch. Nothing remarkable and just what one would expect out of a 12yr. A little citrusy, a little oaky, maybe some grass notes.

Smooth, blended scotch perfect for beginners or a relaxed evening sharing a bottle with friends. Guaranteed most palates will enjoy this. Sweeter honey notes, malty with a hint of spice, cinnamon perhaps? Nutmeg?

Seems an average malted bourbon. Much less sweet, which is preferred, but still more of a mixer than a sipper. Getting vanilla and oak flavors the strongest, with a little nutmeg and something sort of grassy. Overall, I want something much more complex and my less alcohol burn to sip. For the price, though, this will make an excellent cocktail bourbon.

Young palate so mostly taste the alcohol. Oak is there, sweetness that’s maybe toasted a bit, read somewhere it’s got hint of mint so not sure if I’m actually tasting that on the back end or if I’m imagining it because it’s supposed to be there. As it fades I get something like cardamom and a smidge of charred flavor. Maybe it’s the burnt part of the toasted sweetness.
