This us a nice balance of that classic balviene fruit with some peat mixed in. The fruit I get is berry, which seems like a weird combo with smoke, but the peat is subdued enough and on the tail, while the fruit sweetness is more forward, so it does okay. Not my favorite peated whiskey, but definitely has character.

Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire Cask Strength 10 Year (Batch 04)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 22, 2025Okay Sherry tasks aren't usually my favorite but a spicy peat-heavy whiskey like this with the sherry sweetness underneath is actually a fantastic combo. It's fairly rich, and the balance is great. Love this. -
Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey Single Cask No. 448
American Single Malt — Seattle, WA, USA
Reviewed April 14, 2025Darker flavor than the 497, strong oak barrel flavor but with a subtle toffee and caramel sweetness. Or maybe molasses. It's good, but there isn't enough body to make it fantastic.Copperworks Distilling - Kenmore
