I was looking for a Canadian whisky that is mellow and smooth that can be enjoyed neat. I think that this Double Barrel Reserve fits the bill. With the price of Single Malt Scotch starting in the $100 range here in Ontario, I was desperate to find a substitute that I enjoy. This is a great value at under $40.37.5 CAD per Bottle

How do you describe the malt blend that transcends anything you've had before. Especially since it's only aged for five years and then transferred to 1/4 casks for finishing. What I like most is the satisfaction I feel after a dram of this delicious elexir. It satisfies after a couple of drams. This is the first time I have experienced this level of satisfaction with any single malt. I think this is a major discovery, for me at least.85.0 USD per Bottle

Unlike a lot of reviewers, I didn't find the original 16 year old Lagavulin to be as peaty as I expected. The 43% abv seemed to my taste buds to be a little thin for my taste. Upon opening my first bottle of Lagavulin Offerman Edition Charred Oak Cask 11 year old, I felt that my search had ended. I immediately ordered 6 more bottles. This is the most satisfying single malt scotch I have ever enjoyed. A one ounce snifter of this fabulous elixer is very calming and delicious. The peat, mingled with the sweetness of the european wine cask and the american bourbon cask are a perfect combination that I find very satisfying. Too bad this is a limited edition bottling.90.0 USD per Bottle
