Tastes

Was a bit disappointed after I had so many people suggested it. Alcohol was at least equal to the buttery notes on rhe nose. The taste was a brief vanilla cookie before turning a bit bitter on the finish.

This is my favorite Irish Whiskey so far. The nose is a fresh shortbread cookie. The taste is warm vanilla and brown butter with a quick bit of heat on the end.

I love the rich creamy first taste but not the backend. When I first opened the bottle I got a very bitter after taste from it. Now a few weeks later it has changed to a cherry cough syrup taste.

I am in the minority that I am not super crazy about this. It has a nice toffee nose—almost too sweet. It has a nice corn note to begin with but for me the back end becomes extremely bitter. A touch of water helps lessen but it still lingers.
