Tastes

Nose: Fruity with hints of pear, balanced. TASTE: Sweet, fruity, butterscotch, and oak. FINISH: Mid-long-smooth with a warm and relaxing finish. I like to keep a whisky decanter with a little of this in it at all times so anyone walking by can just feel free to pour a little throughout the day😊.

This is one of my favorite 18yo. NOSE: Rich with ripe fruit, baked apple and cinnamon and some oak. TASTE: Rich dried fruit, sweet orange peel and more cinnamon with dates, hint of oak. FINISH: somewhat short and dry, Spicy Warm elegant.

BLUF: Still young, stick with the 17. At first, I was really enjoying this one. But the more I got to know it the more it I realized it wasn’t for my palate. Nose is sweet ammonia at first, sweet dried fruit(apricot, cherry), sweet spices and nuts (cinnamon, cloves, caramelized roasted nuts) and maybe a hint of smoked wood. Palate sherry and hints of earth, malt, toffee and a hint of smoke. Finish: Spicy and long, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, orange zest and sherry.

I like the smoothness of this bourbon. It’s pretty good overall rich and sweet. Nice mouth feel with cask, orange and caramel notes that linger. Just a tad too much oak coming in for my taste.

Smoky, thin, some nutty and vanilla flavors but at just 40% abv, it’s sort of one-dimensional.
