Tastes

Sharp peat on the front of the tongue that rolls in to briny sea salt, iodine and umami. The finish is burning tobacco with bonfire smoke and the salt lingers, making it feel like almost a charred steak.

Nose is pepper...black pepper, then peaty smoke. Initial taste is all spice, black peppercorn, a flash of fruit then briny, iodine(y) peated smoke but not heavy. No bacon grease/smoke like in the description. The lacing on the glass is impressive; thick, viscous. The pour makes an Islay Scotch Whisky drinker happy.

Nose is sweet like toffee or caramel with a new oak char back end. Taste is sweet. The toffee, caramel and vanilla really stand out. The finish is "peppercorny" with oaky char. I am very pleased with this.

Nose is briny smoke with sweet hard candy undertones. Taste is peaty, briny, sea salt up front with white pepper, butterscotch and pears mid way and a long- burning fire pit resorcinol, tannin, leather finish. Not hugely complex but has quite a nice character.

Quite nice to quaff. The nose is sweet with a background of oak. Mild tobacco and spice. Taste has tobacco and light leather tan. Mid way, a sour spice hits that leads to a dark, stone fruit, almost over-ripe Bing cherry and tannin finish.

Nose-dark/light fruit, slight tobacco, little barrel, smoke comes more forward after the first sip. Taste-initial candy sweet then peach, pear then mild peat smoke. Finishes with a mild Peat and tobacco. Pleasant to sip. Doesn't change too much with ice.

Quite pleasant. Sweet malt,and alcohol are the main players on the nose. Candied sugars and caramel apples are the first notes then, fruity (apple,pear,peach) are the first on the palate. Extremely pleasant to drink. This should be in every scotch drinkers bar.

Toffee, caramel, fig at the front, sweet grain on the finish. Pleasant as a daily sipper.
