Arran 14 Year (Old Label)
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed August 29, 2018 (edited February 9, 2019)I love this bottle more and more after each dram, quality stuff! Sweet, sour and salty with a wonderful nose. It packs a punch with the 46% ABV, no chillfiltration or added colour, I wish more distilleries would follow the example of Arran regarding this. Cheers all83.0 CAD per BottleMontreal -
BenRiach Curiositas 10 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 26, 2018 (edited May 2, 2020)Not your typical peated Scotch but still a great one. The peatsmoke flavour is completely different compared to the classic Islay peat. Less medicinal, more earthy and grassy. Not overly complex and a fairly short finish. I enjoyed every dram from this bottle though. Honey/sea salt/peat74.0 CAD per BottleMontreal -
Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 24, 2018Finishing off my bottle tonight. I would give this an overal 4 stars if the price was lower. I still love a nice sherry flavour profile, delicious taste of dried fruits and fairly spicy. Pairs well with a cigar!83.0 CAD per BottleMontreal -
Highland Park 12 Year Viking Honour
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed August 22, 2018 (edited October 5, 2018)I got the 43% ABV version, this is a great balanced and complex malt. All kinds of different flavors coming through. You got light peat and salt on the palate and nice sherry tones on the finish. The nose is sweet and slightly sour. This has a bit of everything, very well done!69.0 CAD per BottleMontreal -
