Tastes

There's an off-putting note on the nose that I really don't like. The taste is a little spicy, but the unpleasantness comes back on the finish and lingers. I can't recommend.

A little cherry on the nose, with some more teasing out on the taste. Dusty finish.

Grassy, dusty and a little sweet. Very nice.

It's a rich amber color. I get stone fruits (cherries, plums) on the nose, with just a hint of dusty corn. A lot of spice comes forward on the taste. The finish was just a little harsh.

This is a very subtle whisky. I don't get a lot on the nose, just a hint of ethanol. A very soft apricot on the taste, with nutmeg, perhaps. The finish lingers a little, but is very pleasant, and just slightly warming. I could sit with this for some time while I was doing other things like reading, or writing whisky reviews.

A little harsh at first, but sitting in the glass mellows it nicely. There's a slight aniseed note at the finish that I don't enjoy. Good, but not great.
