Cut hay. Nutmeg and cinnamon.

Dusty corn and cherries on the nose. The taste opens up with nice spices. I dig it.

So I tried the trick where you have a piece of dark chocolate with the Lagavulin. I must say, wow. The whisky is transformed. The overpowering band-aids flavor drops way into the background, and more fruity notes come forward. I'm rather shocked. While still not my favorite Scotch, pairing with dark chocolate at least makes it an enjoyable experience.

I enjoy this blended malt. Great value for the money.

The nose is grassy, with some subtle nuttiness peaking through. Wildflower sweetness makes an appearance with deep breaths. On the taste more nuttiness comes forward, Hazelnut maybe? Some cocoa depth comes through. Like a biscuit with butter and Nutella? The finish is very friendly. No burn whatsoever. It's so easy to drink. However, the finish is gone as soon as the whiskey is. Wish it was a bit longer. Good. Very good. I'll have to replace this bottle when it's gone.

It's clean, with sweet flavors, and a tiny bit of spice on the finish. Inoffensive, but not memorable. Would drink again, would not purchase a full bottle.

First impressions were very nice. I like the nose, I like the taste. However, as it opened up in the glass, it developed an anise note in the finish that started to take over, and I didn't particularly like. Overall good, but I'd rather not spend a lot of time with it.

Cinnamon and nutmeg on the nose. The spices continue on the taste, with some leather maybe? A nice sweetness on the finish. Good juice.

Dust, dusty corn. Add a drop of water, and I get some green apple.
