Código 1530 Origen Extra Añejo Tequila
Tequila Extra Añejo — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed February 5, 2021 (edited October 20, 2022)Delightfully smooth. Despite the extended aging the wine influence is subtle and balanced -
Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed February 5, 2021 (edited April 15, 2021)Excellent blend of anejo and super anejo filtered to remove the color. This is great juice. No weird oaky tannins. Its earthy without being a vegetable bomb. -
Corralejo Silver Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Guanajuato, Mexico
Reviewed February 1, 2021 (edited June 24, 2023)Because these bottles are seemingly everywhere it lacks the exotic aura that sometimes surrounnds shelves of tequila but to overlook it is to do yourself a disservice. This is smooth with enough mineralogy and complexity to enjoy neat. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed February 1, 2021 (edited May 16, 2021)I’m torn on this one. Some pours hit just right, some have a bizarre aftertaste as if you dropped the pear you were eating into your campfire ashes. This is not for everyone. Hell its not for most people. Its a little weird but it works and sometimes when I feel a little weird it hits the weird spot right where the weird weirdly is weirdest and it’s perfect. Do: Purchase a bottle and enjoy. Do Not: Expect this to be your Go To. It’s definitely worth the price and it’s definitely something one needs to try at some point while here on Earth. -
Spice blast. Love the burn but this would be better in a cocktail. Since I take my spirits neat it earns a lower rating in my system. You know, the one that changes with the wind and approximately zero people care about, including me. That system. As usual though Old Forester is an exceptional bang for your buck.

Templeton Rye Barrel Strength (2019 Edition)
Rye — Indiana, USA
Reviewed February 1, 2021 (edited December 7, 2021)Hard for me to rate after receiving the news it’s not only sourced from MGP but also flavored, whatever that means. Thw lack of transparency leaves a bitter impression, though it’s a decent rye.
