Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 19, 2017 (edited February 27, 2018)Not worth retail. Especially disapointing when this was first released and the distillery acted as if it were going to be a limited, one time, release. Now it's part of the regular line up. Thanks Brown-Forman for again causing me to not trust you. -
GlenDronach Revival 15 Year (2009-2015)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 19, 2017 (edited November 10, 2017)No idea what this will be like when it returns from its 3 year hiatus, but my bottle actually has 21 year old juice in it. Not typically my flavor profile (I prefer heavy peat) but this stuff is fantastic. -
Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon (80 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 17, 2017 (edited August 8, 2017)This one surprised me. It's much better than the 79 Distiller Score would lead you to believe. $15 for a 750ml is a bargain! -
Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye (Fall 2016)
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 17, 2017 (edited September 13, 2020)Heavenly. It's creamier than the 2015. Everything about this is better than 2015 and the 2015 is fantastic. -
Witherspoon's Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed January 17, 2017 (edited January 23, 2017)I remember liking this. I was impressed that it came from Texas, then I received word that it might have actually been sourced bourbon. That kind of put a sour taste in my mouth. I'm ok with sourcing, but don't lie to me. -
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 16, 2017 (edited January 23, 2017)Too hot for 115. Flavors are muted and similar to what I remember from the OFBB '15. Not a fan. Barely salvageable in a cocktail. -
Four Roses Private Selection Single Barrel Barrel Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Old Grand-Dad 114 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2017 (edited January 24, 2017)I get the cinnamon, and the alcohol, but that's about it. The cinnamon is very prevalent (and pleasant) on the nose once the final drop has dried in the glass. I bought two bottles once I heard it was going away and I realized I may never get to taste it. Now, I won't be affected by the disappearance of this bottle because I just don't like it. -
Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Tequila
Tequila Extra Añejo — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed January 3, 2017Quite possibly the best tequila I've ever tasted.
