Tastes

I agree with all the sweet descriptives given for this bottle. However, it's very cheap tasting to me. I don't think I handle the wheated whiskies as well, and since this is on the low end of the pricing spectrum I tend to drink more of it in one setting. It's unlikely that I'll be replacing this if ever I finish it.

Each whiskey is easily distinguishable in the glass. It's like I'm drinking a bourbon, a rye, and single malt scotch in one glass

Thank you Heaven Hill for ruining a great product. At least Makers Mark listened to what their dedicated customers were saying and backed out of reducing the proof. You have proven you don't care what your customers have to say. BRING BACK THE TRUE 12! I'm done with you until you do. //// The only redeeming aspect is this mixes well. I just finished mine by making damn fine bourbon smashes and mint juleps.

Get em while you can find em. The NAS SUCKS ASS!! As fast as these things are flying off the shelves, it won't be long before this listing has to get the Rare tag.

UPDATE: I'm not the fan I apparently once was. There's a mushroomy flavor & nose that I don't find palatable. I'm no longer enamored by the uniqueness and it doesn't really taste like Christmas to me anymore. ---I have Act 2.4 & 2.7. They are very similar to one another. I'm anxious to get a newer bottling for comparisons. The flavors in this are very unique. Cloves, cinnamon & other Christmas Spices. ---

First of many I tasted that day. It was wonderful. The sherry really shines and makes this a very interesting pour. It's sweet, but not the same kind of sweet you normally get from a bourbon.

Tasted with a friend. Similar to the 2015 Birthday Bourbon, but smoother.

Great light flavors perfect for mixed drinks.

Unfortunately when some brands change their packaging they also change the juice inside. Weller is no exception. The new bottles have no appealing factor for my tastes, neither inside, nor outside the bottle. Nothing of it's former glory. { Sweet Pipe Tobacco, and it's [WAS] a wonderful thing.}
