Tastes

Every so often I pull this bottle from behind the back of my collection and have a pour. This is my opinion of the best ‘budget bourbon’. Can hold its own against pours 3x the cost. Love the rye notes. Bright, but such a smooth finish. Surprised every time I try this.

Very solid. Worth a try. 1792s are always worth the price

A little rich for my taste. Not overly complex. I understand there is variation between bottles so i will certainly taste again.

Best bang for your buck in my opinion. One of my favorite nightly sippers. A must have bottle for the price

Citrusy and sweet. Definitely has the smell of the barrel. Very unique. Glad to have it in my collection but probably something I’ll only go to once or twice a month

A brighter Statesmen. Very good. Still has a slight rye taste like OF but finishes very nice and bright.

Was Exited to get my hands on a bottle of this given its reputation. It’s pretty solid, I understand the hype. There are better pours out there but very good for the price. Must try!

Once I learned this is what Midwinters nights dram was made of I had to try it, wow this is incredible. I’d love to taste this side by side with midwinters night. My favorite rye to date !
