Tastes

It, indeed, noses like sweet honey and marsipan. Subtle turf that comes through in the palate. Dark chocolate. Mildly oily and it reminds of a chilled down BBQ. Faded pear-like flavor which ends with a bite.

The nose opens citrussy with a slick tint of turf. Abricot-like aroma. Transforms from a silky soft smoke into a well-balanced cinnamon palate with fudge and raisins. Smooth pepper finish.

Definite nose of apricot jam. Very sweet and welcoming. Deep, intense and flourishing palate! A small hint of apples, an honest confirmation of apricot jam with an interesting spice. Shares the soft spot of a delicious cinnamon bread. Mildly strong but smooth finish that leaves thirsty for more.

Sweet aroma that blends vanilla with caramel. Banana becomes prevalent, though with a mild minty note. Palette bitters the nosing and makes it more gingery. Very mild finish with an aftertaste of milk chocolate.

Candy-sweet vanilla aroma with hints of red apples. Very light spice in the palette with a sense of oranges. Subtle vanilla throughout and a light finish.

Relatively sweet nosing for such a high ABV (46,3%) Islay whisky. When it hits the tongue it comes across peppery but the palette is very subtle and fruity.

Noses caramel-like, sweet palette that ties in with the Tomatin Legacy, but with a prevalent sherry influence. Mild finish.

Very intense sweetness on the nosing, as if you're about to unwrap an orange candy. Pineapple body. The palate brings up marshmallows and lemon with a peppery feel. The fairly short finish peaks in an unexpected taste of oak! Even though a slightly higher ABV (43%), it is easily drinkable.
