Tastes

Oily. Well balanced whisky from the very northern Orkney Islands. Nosing unravels a mixture of citrus fruits that gets less sweet and more thorough in its tasting. Peatiness is promised, although only gently found in the palette.

No age statement. No exciting heritage. But an actual explosion of aromas on the nosing. Prevalent marzipan and delicate marmalade. Nose flows through sweet apples, pineapples and citrus fruits which are found back in the tasting. Dark chocolate comes aroud the corner with a subtle spice on the tongue. Marvellous!

Very peaty smell on a light yellow-colored body. Thorough nosing unveils fruitiness I cannot quite label. Light taste with some far-away sour pear hints.

Butter biscuit aroma with an obvious vanilla haze. Modestly mild flavor, less buttery, overall well-balanced blend.

Prevalent brambles in the toffee-like aroma. Fruity and malty.

Very mild nuanced aroma in a sweet oakiness. Nutty, slightly grainy. Watery finish.

Nosing promises caramel toffee mixed with fresh apples, whereas it tastes very balanced and fruity marmalade-like. The finish comes with a hint of spicy oakiness.

Noses primary school glue-like with a sweet tone. Spicy whenever it hits the tongue. Fades into a fairly dry flavour of which rye becomes very prevalent. Sharp throughout.

Semi-smoky start. Opens up with an ice cube into a nice and subtle oaky taste.
