Lots of honey and baking spices on the nose, no doubt it’s Michter’s juice. Grassy note on the palette that’s non-offensive, good burn in the middle. Baking spice and clove finish with a modest herbal note. Damn fine bourbon, but not likely worth the hunt or secondary market pricing.

Highly Spivey nose with a dark fruit undertone. Cognac dominates the palette up front with that spice. Some light sherry undertone. The finish flattens quickly. Some spice tones longer, but it lacks complexity. Not a bad outing if they were trying to save some bad distillet with multiple finishings, but certainly not a home run.

Nose starts with apple cinnamon and a stewed fruit undertone. Surprisingly smooth for a high proof 14 yr, punches way below weight. Very fruity up front with tea overtones, finishing with some lemon and oak tannin in the undertones. Pretty good value for this age.

Bright nose, reminding me of Makers… honey wheated notes. Palette changes direction completely, going to dark, brown sugar tones, flat in the front with stewed fruited holding the bass and opening a spice in the finish. A good entry and a nice journey.

Rich sweet and fruity nose with a sour hint. Spicy overtone with very sweet, fruit-punchy undertone. Spice lasts into finish and finish carries. No oak tannin I would expect on this age. Not necessarily punching it’s price, but there’s no doubt a tasting journey is there.

Noses light and sweet, honey with mild spice. It’s bigger than most malts, both from the slightly higher ABV and some bourbon-like spicy tones. The oaky tannins are subtle, but give it stealth maturity. This is a strong malt entry from an inventive business.

Oak, honey and some lite orange blossom on the nose. Flavor starts medicinal orange, moving to cherry, finishing with a spice that lingers more than the Weller Reserve. Not a full body and not worth the hunt. An average Full Proof compared to much easier to find drams.

Sweet fig with big caraway rye overtones. Apricot up front. Big rye punch on the front of the palette. Real long tasting journey with lots on complexity finishing fig and raisin. Finish is one of the longest I’ve had. Too punchy and unique to be a regular drinker. But a fantastic example of ryes can be.

Nose speaks of traditional Breck juice… citrus and spice, but a thin line of cane sugar across the top. Super sweet and smooth to the palette, coconut cream finishing in a bourbon spice. This is a dessert-like treat and excellent. Short finish that could be resolved with more aging.

Nose has a dark fruit undertone with brown sugar and maybe some chocolate. Interesting herbal tones too, like pine or juniper. Palette is fruit forward with a spicy overtone. Oily finish leaves tobacco and brown sugar behind. Some wood tannin in the middle. This is a crazy value. Don’t tell your friends.
