Tastes

The more I drink this, the more I think it's the perfect whiskey. Smokey but not overwhelming. Sweet but not over indulgent. Smooth but it keeps you focused. I would drink this every night if I could afford it.

I'm very pleasantly surprised. I recently discovered lagavulin 16, and have been trying everything I can to find something similar that doesn't cost $90 a bottle. This talisker storm is the closest I've found to the balance of sweetness, meatiness, smoke, and drinkability of lagavulin 16. This has quite a bit more spice than the laga which is supple in every regard. I don't mind the dry spicy finish one bit though. At almost half the price I can't argue with it and am super blown away.

Always good, but never great. Classic shortbread cookie notes with just a hint of something metallic. Can't expect too much besides something nice to drink that you can get everywhere.

The caramel and vanilla are dominant with a good hint of spice. There's also a very pleasantly warm and long lasting finish here that I can't seem to find in many other bottles in this price range. Very much a reliable go to at this point

At first it tasted like a parmesean crusted cruton to me, but over time I'm getting a bit more of a salted wheat thin while sitting by the ocean vibe. Would highly recommend

This tastes like a slice of wheat bread with a bit of honey drizzled on top. The finish is smooth with a lingering taste of honey and vanilla. This is a very pleasant scotch with my only knock against it going towards it's straightforward and simple nature.
