Batch 10 / Year 2021. 63.65% / 127.3 Proof. Sample bottle Nose: Sweet vanilla, stewed apples and baking spices. Like fresh baked apple pie. Honey, bright and floral. Palate: Slightly buttery with salted caramel and a hint of honey. Stewed apples, baking spices. Some mild black peppers which trail into hints of oak and tobacco. Final Thoughts: Very enjoyable, on the nose and palate. It's subtle, yet rich in flavor. At times, it brought back childhood memories of Werther's Original Caramel hard candy, caramel apples and fresh baked apple pies.

Blanton's Straight From the Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 6, 2022 (edited April 9, 2022)Nose: Cherry syrup, with sweet vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and stewed stone fruits. Palate: Taste as it smells. Cherry, stew fruits, red berries, sweet vanilla and baking spices. Slightly buttery on the mouth with sweet, salted carmel and a touch of mild oak on the finish. The pour is complex, finding different notes with each sip. Mouth coating long finish and quite enjoyable. Final Thoughts: Very enjoyable pour. It doesn't drink like it's proof with very little burn, and has the complexity and rich flavors as you would want from something straight from the barrel.200.0 USD per Bottle -

Nose: Iodine and sweet peat upfront. Sweet honey, vanilla, briny salt, stewed fruits and baking spices. Heavy on the iodine, peat and salt brine. Palate: Rich, peat smoke, saltwater, with malts. Sweet honey, vanilla, with stewed fruits. Long finish with baking spices vanilla, honey, leather, sweet tobacco, licorice and cardamom. Final Thoughts: Tasted this against batch 12 and prefer the batch 12 slightly over this batch. Both are wonderfully complex, but this batch seems a bit less balanced with more heavy on the iodine and salt brine. That said, this was still great and incredibly complex. Each sip reminds me of roasting marshmallows (semi-burnt), on a seaside beach, over a hickory wood campfire.70.0 USD per Bottle

Compared to batch 11, the floral and fruity scent is more pronounce due to the subdued iodine, and salt brine. Palate: Rich, peat smoke, saltwater, with malts. Sweet honey, vanilla, with stewed fruits. Long finish with baking spices vanilla, honey, leather, sweet tobacco, licorice and cardamom. Laphroaig Càirdeas 2021 Pedro Ximenez Casks
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 13, 2021 (edited November 23, 2021)Nose: Sherry, brown sugar, baking spices, stewed apples, pears, plums, and raisins. Palate: Rich, peat smoke, saltwater, brown sugar, vanilla, with sherried fruits. Apples, plums, raisins, and red berries. Long finish with baking spices, brown sugar, vanilla, leather, sweet mild tobacco, and licorice. Final Thoughts: By itself it's an interesting bottle. Tasting it with a Laphroaig CS batch 11 and batch 12, I can't help but notice that it does subdue the typical notes that I love about Laphroaig. That said, it's complex and I find differents notes with each nosing and tasting.85.0 USD per Bottle
