Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, sweet oak spices, grilled fruits - apples, pears, peaches. Typical Woodford but big, rich, and deep. Palate: Oak spice up front, gives way to leather and sweet tobacco. Sweet vanilla, baking spices with fruits such as red cherries, grilled apples, pears, and peaches... rounded off with sweet oak smoke. Final Thoughts: Really enjoyable pour. On the nose it's like pancakes topped with whip cream, autumn spices, powdered sugar and smothered in maple syrup. On the palate, it's classic Woodford but turned up a few notches. Sweet oak spices, leather, tobacco, baking spices with stones fruits such are cherries, apples, pears and peaches all rounded off with a toasted oak.40.0 USD per Bottle -
Chichibu On The Way 2019 - 51.5 % ABV, sample bottle. Nose: Sweet vanilla and floral up front, like a bouquet of roses covered in creamy vanilla icing. Fruits and spices with honeydew melons, stewed white nectarines, apples, Asian pears, cinnamon, cloves and mild oak. Palate: Sweet oak and woody up front, but gives way to sweet malts, baking spices and stewed white nectarines, apples and Asian pears. The wood lingers from start to finish, with oak spice that gives way to sweet oak, malts, and hints of mild tobacco. Sweet fruits throughout with a long finish. Final Thoughts: Very complex and enjoyable. One of those glasses you can nose and taste forever. All the while finding new subtle notes along the way.

Nose: Sweet oak, and dried fruits - apples, golden raisins. Sweet creamy vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of "light" brown sugar. Reminds me of crème brulee and ginger bread. The aroma is very balanced and inviting on the nose for sure. Palate: Sweet creamy vanilla with sweet rich oak with a hint of pepper spice. Dried, deep/dark fruits, with carmelized sugars and spices. Long, well balanced, finish that leaves you with sweet dried fruits, baking spices, rich oak spice and maybe a hint of sweet tabacco. Final Thoughts: This is an amazing pour. Tasted against Batch 4, and batch 7. It wins hands down.

Nose: Sherry, citrus forward with a rye like spice. Sweet vanilla, cinnamon , nutmeg, a touch of brown sugar and subtle oak. The sherry, maybe even chardonnay, and zesty citris is more dominant followed with a familiar spicy almost rye like spice. Palate: Peppery spice with sweet, slightly bitter, oak. Zesty citris, with sweet vanilla and baking spices - cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of ginger. Finish is enjable. Finale Thoughts: This is an very good pour. Tasted against Batch 3, and batch 4. Prefer batch 3, followed by batch 4, but batch 7 isnt far behind.
