Tastes

My first Welsh whiskey. The nose is light and flowery, with citrus and apple notes. Apples, pears and melon on the palate. Vanilla creeps in for a soft clean finish. A nice introduction to Welsh whiskey.

Lemon and honey on the nose, with a touch of smokiness. Quite a bit of bite on the tongue, softened with a touch of water. Sherry notes, sweet and soft, are offset by pepper and spice. The finish is long and warm, with a mild oily quality. Good, but not great

Apple, orange and oak on the nose. A deep sniff reveals a hint of watermelon. The oak comes through up front on the tongue, sweet spice, with honey notes wash across your mouth. Medium length finish that fades away gently.

Apple, caramel, and lemon and brown bread toast on the nose. Quite sweet, with vanilla and caramel. Spicy burn to finish, that is disappointingly short.

Nature on the nose, with Earth, leather and a hint of citrus and caramel. The taste is delightful complex on the tongue. It starts with caramel sweetness, light peat and smoke, then a soft buttery sensation spreads across your tongue. The finish is long, very long with citrus elements and a soft smokiness that hangs on just long enough. One of the most interesting and complex drams I've experienced.

Sweet on the nose, with honey and fruit notes. Simple, smooth on the tongue. A gentle, easy finish

Butter, toffee, and pear on the nose. Sweet honey notes, buttery, but overall pretty empty. Bit of a burn on the fiish

Vanilla, apple and oak aromas. Sweet, and fruity. A touch of honey on the tongue, and fruity notes of raisin and a touch of malt. Finish is buttery, spicy and somewhat short

Malt, citrus and vanilla on the nose. Very sweet, made sweeter by a touch of water. Honey jumps forward, but malt and spice notes are there. The finish is long, creamy and filled with honey sweetness.

The nose is VERY complex, with pear, honey, vanilla notes coming forward. you notice the sweetness from the ice wine barrels immediately, but then malt and spicy elements arrive to produce a warm, lingering finish with a buttery quality. A different, interesting and delicious addition.
