Ghost Coast Distillery Master Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Savannah, GA, USA
Reviewed August 31, 2022Nose: Oak, subtle brown sugar, and mellow caramel and vanilla. Palatte: Wheat and Barley heavy, with some oat dirtyness. Rye oak and earth spice up front but not too dry. Caramel and walnut die quickly to leave the walnut skin bitterness. Finish: quick, light lingering barley and oats on the tongue. -
Color: Blood soaked oak. Nose: Deep charred oak. Marshmellow, fully charred husk. Vanilla, tannins. Subtle cherry. Palatte: True to the nose. Smooth velvity mouthfeel sandwiched between tannins, a fabric of liquid heat. A spike or two. Vanilla bean. Creme brulee powdered with cinnamon. a plate of freshly charred oak. Finish: Quick, refreshing, subtle pear. Light clove dryness.

The palate is true to the nose. This is a good entry at 115pf for the fire-breathers who like high octane. On the nose there is subtle oak, vanilla, cinnamon, dark fruit. On the palate that all sticks around gently burried by the high alcohol content so you will have to feel for the flavours, the only addition is the classic bourbon sweetness. The finish is strong and surprisingly short, and slightly oak dry.
