Tastes

Spicy and fruity nose, peat. Sweet oiliness starts off, followed by smoky peat over caramel/honey sweetness. Really pleasant, more well-rounded than younger Laphroaig.

Fairly fruity aromas of apples, grapes. Flavors of fruit, caramel apples, spice, with a touch of smoke, nicely balanced.

Very pale gold. Aroma is heavy on peat, but not as aggressive as Laphroaig 10. A little more rounded in aroma. Fairly spicy, with less iodine than Laphroaig and maybe a little more smoke. Quite thick and oily, in a very pleasant way.

Subdued aroma, wheat dryness, spiciness, cinnamon, oily mouthfeel, light sweet doughiness, like donuts or pancakes.

Ton of vanilla on the nose, oak, pine resin. Still good amount of vanilla at start, mild spiciness, fades away with little aftertaste.
