Benchmark Full Proof Bourbon (125 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 26, 2023 (edited January 14, 2024)On the nose i only get heat, not spice but heat. This heat is from the proof but i still get a trace of sweetness under all the heat. On the palette I can better detect the sweetness as a honey floral sweetness but it is quickly overwhelmed by the heat from the proof. Adding a few drops of water bring the sweetness more to the forefront but the heat from the proof still overpowers it -
Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon (95 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed December 26, 2023 (edited February 13, 2024)On the nose it starts out sweet then rolls into a cinnamon spice finish. The same profile is there on the palette but there is the slightest hint of an orange note evident before the cinnamon spice rolls in. The cinnamon spice does not overwhelm but more compliments the sweet start. -
On the nose it has a buttery caramel smell that is quite pleasant. On the palate it has a very harsh burn not sure if it is cinnamon, baking spice, or rye but it is extremely overpowering. When you add a little splash of water the profile on the palate changes completely and becomes sweet and vanillay with only a slight hint of spice at the very end.25.0 USD per Bottle

Frying Pan Shoals bourbon
Bourbon — North Carolina , USA
Reviewed August 20, 2023 (edited October 5, 2023)On the nose it has a heavy peanut scent with a slight medicinal undertone to it. On the palate it has a leathery, oaky, smokey profile that finishes with a sharp spice note that fades really quick. None of the flavor profile on the nose transfers over to the palate but the flavor profile on the palate is much better than the nose. It is a little thin mouthfeel wise. All in all a really nice pour in my opinion.45.0 USD per Bottle -
New Southern Revival Jimmy Red Bourbon Finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks
Bourbon — South Carolina, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2023On the nose you get subtle notes of dried berries, honey, and florals but they are very weak. One the palate the same notes are there but still very subtle and nothing really stands out. It does have a very oil mouth feel that coats your tastebuds but it may mask the flavors try to come through. I was very disappointed in this flavor profile as i have had bourbons done in a similar way that the flavor profiles explode on your palate this one just had no pop. -
New Southern Revival Single Barrel Jimmy Red Corn Straight Bourbon (Seelbach's)
Bourbon — South Carolina, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2023On the nose it comes off very nutty, either peanuts or cashews. On the plate you still get some of the nuttiness but dulled down with the addition of some honey. It finishes really smooth with a very subtle baking spice or rye spice note. The only knock again is it carries a steep selling price -
On the nose it seems light; I do pick up a medicinal note, and a hint of a floral note and it finishes with rye spice. On the plate that medicinal note is front and center overpowering anything else except the rye spice that it rolls right into. There is another flavor, maybe the floral note or vanilla, trying to fight through the strong medicinal taste. Still not a bad pour but lacks some complexity.

On the nose it comes off very sweet with a strong fruity or floral scent almost like honeysuckle or peaches and not much spice. On the palate the fruit and floral note are much more subdued and give way to a much woodier oaky taste that finishes with a light rye spice note. It is a very delicious pour that is very complex.
