Neck pour. Starts with sherry, orange preserves and oak on the nose. Feels a little thick on the palate, semisweet, more sherry with hints of orange and oak, no burn whatsoever. Sherry, tannins and a little spice show up on the medium length finish.

This is such a delicious whiskey! A mixture of malt, BBQ meats, sweat peat, strawberries and cream, dark fruits and mixed nuts greet the nose and continue on the oily palate. Heat builds over time. The long finish starts spicy and morphs to a sweet, fruity, menthol.

Nose: Vanilla, lemon peel, sea salt, menthol, subtle peat, subtle BBQ meats and hints of cocoa. Palate: Viscous and semisweet with vanilla, black pepper, umami, sea salt, ham, subtle peat, subtle lemon cake and hints of dark chocolate. Finish: Medium length with subtle vanilla, sweet peat, lemon pastries and menthol.

Orange peel, light baking spices and caramel on the nose, really pleasant. It’s light on the palate with orange, caramel, vanilla and baking spices. The finish is a little bitter and spicy, with more orange and caramel. Overall, quite pleasant, easy sipper.

Vanilla, caramel and floral notes, with apples and pears in the background, feels somewhat rich and viscous compared to the standard 12 year, finish is longer and spicer too.

This bottle is 60.6 ABV. Don’t know which batch. Nose: Sweet with lemon candies, malt, ginger, melon, tart citrus, oak, sandal wood and cinnamon. Palate: Viscous and semi-sweet with malt, honey, citrus, barrel spices, marzipan, marshmallow and hints of cherry and licorice. Finish: Medium length, subtle with malt, fruit and spice notes, plus a little butterscotch. This is a tasty, complex, throughly enjoyable whiskey.
