    Turpentine and slight sherry on the nose, smooth and oily vanilla on the palate, a medium finish with a bitter after taste. The previous 12 year, of which I still have half a bottle, seems much better.

    Camp fire, turpentine, peat and caramel on the nose, bitter chocolate mixed with smooth vanilla on the palate, smokey, spicy medium finish. Splash of water quiets the camp fire and adds raisins on the nose, removes the bitterness of the chocolate, sweetens the vanilla and adds raisin cake on the palate.

    Apples and vanilla on the nose, smooth, oily, vanilla on the palate, medium finish. Retaste 8/29/22: It surprises me that my notes from over three years ago are still fairly accurate to what I taste today. I could pile on more minute details, but what would be the point? It’s a good basic scotch.
