    For me, the perfect sipping rum for a warm summer evening. Attractive price. Outstanding viscosity. Impeccable smoothness. Distinguished and original flavor. Cool and sweet. Dangerous, very dangerous. I’m tempted to find a palm, sit my ass down in the sand, sip over ice, watch the waves til I fall asleep, wake up and repeat until I die.

    Don’t usually rate to 5 stars for any whiskey, but for this... it is more than deserving. This whiskey isn’t remarkably different from say, any highland scotch whiskey, but it is almost as if Mackmyra took the single best trait of every highland scotch and incorporated it into their recipe. This one spoke to me. Not daring, not even bold. Just damn good whiskey not pretending to be anything else.

    Very rich, oily, and sweet; warm and calming. Thick like burnt brown sugar over a wood fire. Every sip is accompanied with dark, peaceful nights lounging on a hammock between the tropical palms. A go-to rum for rum lovers!

    Sweet. Hands down, sweet. But I love the complex fruity and molasses flavors. This will always be a favorite! Great bottling, too - I feel like I am being transported to the Caribbean in 1715, swashbuckling with the most sinister pirates on the high seas!

    Bold and aggressive like rough seas crashing on volcanic rocks. Salty, peppery, and medicinal; yet, fruits and honey shine through and bring in the warmth and sunshine. Complex but lovable!

    Starts with vanilla, honey, and butterscotch; very floral, and slightly peppery. Will never not purchase this dram when craving something a bit sweeter and more relaxed. Recommend for the holidays!

    Absolutely delightful dram! All around pleasing on the nose and palate. Hints of vanilla and molasses, oaky strong finish. Could be a bit more bold, though. Would definitely purchase again!

    Instant smoke and salt; quickly releases hints of seaweed, honey, and toffee. Not for the faint-hearted, that’s for sure. Bold and impatient, like a teen on his first motorcycle, but calm and soothing as it finishes. Brilliant!
