Second try. Graham cracker note on the palette that is delicious. Delightful sweetness. Campfire s’mores.

N: classic HH nuttiness, peanut butter. More Apple and fruit notes after the first sip. Slight earthiness. P: Lower notes, subtle pepper, muted oak F: Medium, not clingy. But pleasant and not as thin as expected Overall a great pour for $13!

Best rye I tried on the bourbon trail. Probably placebo but the rum influence makes it coconut-y. Would buy a bottle. Wish it was cheaper or higher proof for the price

Menthol eucalyptus vibe

Lots of rye spice. Not overly burning with the proof. Decent.

Very nice, quality bourbon notes amped up. More earthy and smoky, high rye taste. Would buy a bottle.

Pretty darn good. Taste is better than the nose. Like the finish, spicy then sweet with a bit of sour

Distinct rye. Banana on first smell on the nose. Smells like a higher rye mashbill. At the distillery restaurant!

N: Salted butter and brown sugar beaten together. Hints of melon. Didn’t get the melon until I compared the nose to Blanton’s STFB. P: Huge spice leading into a cinnamon berry blend. F: Days. Super rich. Still getting used to cask strength bourbons, working on picking out notes. Very good first impression though

N: Soft. Vanilla and toffee. Subtly fruit. Streusel crumble. P: Slowly gets spicy as it coats the palette. F: Lots of oak and cinnamon.
