Tastes

Simple and very smooth nose. No alcohol burn. Some spice running up to the nose, very smooth but spicy. Not too much fruit but I taste some caramel. Leaves a great bourbon feeling on the tongue. Very very good bourbon

Very smooth, simple nose. No alcohol burn. Very easy going down, has a couple different tastes.

Nose has slight rye singe, but nothing too strong. Very smooth taste. Can taste caramel, and no rye burn at the end. There are some other flavors, almost minty, after the caramel, very complex for a rye. Finish is short, no afterburn in the mouth. All in all, great rye, one of the best I’ve had so far. Would definitely keep on my shelf.

Gentle nose. Smooth with no bite at all (not always a good thing, but good in this instance). Some alcohol burn to the nose and taste. Flavor lasts a while. Not fruity, but maybe a little apple. Very oaky and Carmel. Love to have on my shelf, but not sure worth the price of admission the second time. Curious to see if it stands out more as I drink more bourbons that don’t have as much proof.

Spicy start to the tasting, followed by clear cinnamon taste. Gives way to a smooth, sweet finish. Flavor fills the mouth. For the spice, there is no burn at the end. Almost feels like drinking a sweeter rye. Very good! PS. Love the bottle.
