I’ve never been Grey Goose’s biggest fan. To me, it has this rubber eraser-esque aftertaste that I can’t stand. Mixed it’s tolerable, but in a martini or over ice (the two ways I typically drink vodka) it’s not for me.

I love this vodka. It makes great martinis and is equally enjoyable over ice. It has more character than standard Absolut. It’s richer and a touch spicier. It’s well balanced and has a smooth finish. This is possibly my favorite vodka from a major producer.

Rye vodkas are not for everyone. The spicy kick rye gives vodka is something I personally enjoy. This is one of my go to vodkas. It makes a great martini and is easy to sip over ice.

This is one of my go to vodkas. It’s balanced, has great depth, and excellent character for sipping over ice...and it’s easy to find on sale.

I hadn’t had Absolut for several years. I used to buy it on occasion when they’d release a limited edition bottle design. I never considered it to be as good the Absolut’s former ultra premium Level. I decided to give it another try about a month ago after running out of my usual vodka. It was on sale at my local store and I thought, “Why not?” I was pleasantly surprised! It was very neutral, which makes it an excellent mixing vodka. It still has enough character to drink on the rocks. It has a slightly sweet finish and some burn. It’s not as “spicy” as some of the rye vodkas I often buy, but it’s a solid contender. I’d give it the last half star if it had a bit more depth to it.
