Easy on the nose, hints of vanilla and oak. Goes down easy and smooth with a sweet finish. Definitely get that vanilla a little more on the palate. Just wish it had that bite to it, at 40 proof, just a touch more (maybe 45 proof) would have sent this way up. But an easy sipper, no water or ice needed. I enjoy the Basil Hayden bourbons and this was by far the best.

Hands down one of the easiest sippers out there. On the nose it smells like a smokey maple pancake. Goes down smooth and has just the right proof to feel it go down but not hang around too long. No need to water down or add an ice cube. Overall it is my favorite of the Weller’s.

On the nose, cinnamon , maple, vanilla and oak. Seems heavy in the cinnamon at first then the other notes start to hit. Super smooth and easy drink, mine was a 124 proof. For being that high of proof I expected a harsh palate. The cinnamon comes strong at first but not overwhelming. Then comes the vanilla, maple, and hints of oak and spice. I was pretty happy with this, I’ve always liked Elijah Craig especially their SiB. If I find another, I will grab it.

Cost aside it is a wonderful bourbon. It is sweet, has a smooth finish, it gives you just long enough bite to make you feel it, but doesn’t punish you. However, I can get 2 bourbon bottles of a different brand, that is just as good, for the price of one of these. Strictly on tatse though it is a very good bourbon. I break it out for those who haven’t tried it, they usually fall in love with it, until they hear the price. I got it as a gift, I doubt I would buy this for myself.

Solid bourbon, has several compex flavors on the finish, honey, vanilla, butterscotch, but not too sweet. Does not have the bite at the end and doesn’t linger for too long. I would recommend giving it a go, it’s worth it.

This is hands down the best bourbon, 10 year, for the price. It’s just smooth, rich and full bodied, just the right hits of peaty, spice, vanilla, fruit and floral. It is the go to and will always have a spot in the top 3 for me.

Wow, this is a rich and super smooth on the palate. Hints of vanilla and fruit with a little bit of peaty. Easy drinker that keeps with you several minutes after the sip. Overall it ranks in the top bourbons for the price.

Light bodied, smooth and sweet, some nutty and vanilla flavors, get a hint of light florals too. Leaves you wanting more, likely because it is 80 proof. A good “introduction to bourbon” and a good nightly neat drink. The downside, much like the Basil Hayden, is that the good parts of the taste don’t last long so it a little underwhelming.

This is a great starter bourbon, anyone who tastes this wants more. It gives a glimpse on what it could be. The potential that sends you searching for this but more of it. It’s a nightly go to, and for anyone says “I don’t like bourbon”.
