Tastes

Astringent on the nose, as expected at 115 proof. Taste is smooth on the front and middle, with some molasses, brown sugar, and mint throughout. Good burn on the backend that is also typical of a bourbon at this proof. A solid buy and good sipper for a cold winter.

On the nose, mint, almost a mixture of spearmint with peppermint. Tastes sharp, some sweetness through the middle (brown sugar maybe?) with a good burn throughout. Not long finishing, aftertaste of mint. Overall not bad for a newer distillery and their bourbon.

Batch No.3: Has a floral and almost sherry-like on nose. Smooth tastes of dark cherry, butterscotch, rich taste with a medium finish. Gifted to me (thanks Mike F!) but will buy next time I see it. Hopefully future batches are as consistent! Well done.

Golden light in color. Astringent on the nose, almost of spearmint with hints of butter. Immediate caramel flavor on the taste, some light cinnamon and baking chocolate leads to a very long finish. Very good whiskey.

Had this as a generous pour in Baltimore on our 4th anniversary weekend. Very tasty and smooth, notes of caramel and vanilla, and can really taste the sherry notes. Would buy this if I could find it.

Oaky aromas. Tastes smooth, rich and oily with a finish of mint and spice. Tastes throughout of brown sugar and caramel. A good whiskey, probably best on a cold winters day!

ABSOLUTELY delicious! Smells of caramel and baking chocolate, maybe with a hint of fresh rolled cigar. Tastes about the same as it smells, with a small citrus note! Slightly sweet, extremely smooth, and long finishing. One of the very best to sip and at a reasonable price point. A new favorite!

Mellow and smooth. A small hint of char from the barrels but very balanced. Hints of honey and buttercream. Delicious.
