Nose is smoke, ethanol, oak, and vinyl with fruity undertones. Entry is rye spice, heat and dried fruits. Finish is short and astringent with lingering hints of vanilla and caramel. A little water (4-6 drops) tones down the heat and brings out more fruit and rye. Nothing offensive, but not compelling, either. (There were strong hints of vinyl or plastic on the nose and the entry, possibly from the plastic 50ml bottle as I don't reall this in an earlier pour from a glass bottle.)3.0 USD per Pour

Triple casked in virgin oak, (once?) used bourbon, and used Olorosa sherry casks. The nose says "Irish", but the first taste says "bourbon". Sweet, butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, ginger, spice. A little water brings out the oak and some burnt toast and pumpkin pie. Spice all the way through and sherry notes on the finish. I suspect the bourbon barrels were only once used and the Devil lost his cut to the bottle. There is probably quite a bit of single grain corn in the blend as well. A solid Irish whiskey for the price.25.0 USD per Bottle

Light fruit and ethanol on the nose, entry is copper and spice that quickly becomes bitter, and stays that way. No floral notes, water brings out more fruit, bananas and pears, but it fades quickly. Bitter peppery finish, the bitter won't go away. Might be tolerable if you drink it fast and not give it a chance to make an impression. Otherwise it is more like a 12 month old than 12 year old and not recognizable as a Speyside. Way overpriced, I'm glad I just bought a 50ml bottle.3.0 USD per Pour

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Straight Rye
Rye — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 19, 2022 (edited July 24, 2022)Yes, it's spicy balanced by vanilla, oak and smoke, but the first thing that hits me is rubber cement or plastic, and it doesn't go away, even after sitting for 10 minutes. Perhaps it's from being in a plastic 50ml bottle. This might be better out of a glass bottle, but I'll leave that for someone else to find one.22.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose is thin with a touch of cereal, and that carries into the taste which is a light bodied spicy sweetness with a dash of vanilla and a touch of smoke. Short peppery finish. A drop or two of water releases more vanilla and spice. Overall, this is a better than average whiskey, very drinkable but not spectacular.25.0 USD per Bottle

The nose is light smoke and butterscotch. On the palette, the butterscotch picks up a hint of peat and a bit of spice. The flavors are rich and full with vanilla and toffee and a sweet something that is familiar but elusive joining in. The finish is oak with a hint smoke and a touch of salt and lingers. Throughout, the alcohol is hiding and never intrusive.30.0 USD per Bottle
