Tastes

Nose: citrus, orange, stale water, maltiness Taste: very different than the nose. Honey, earthy peat, sea water. Lingering fruit.

Nose: Barrel, Toffee, Cinnamon Taste: Pear, Smoke, moves to sugary sweet (Sherry). Aftertaste is very dry, oily, and full. Overall, everything the 10 year wants to be. The increased sweetness from the sherry is balanced by the higher proof. The mouth feel is so full and enveloping, and the transition from the first taste to the after taste is a significant event.

Taste: Lots going on. Spice forward, lingering sweetness of lighter tasting fruits. Peat peeks through at the end.

Nose: More sweetness than oak. Leather is in the distance. Taste: Very sweet. A candy sweetness that seems almost slightly artificial. The oak is very much in the background compared to the sweetness. Does not taste as young as you would expect.
