Nose: deep, sweet, red fruit. Rich and dense. Apricot, cranberry, and raisin Taste: rich, velvety, heavy, and luxurious. Instantly sweet as it hits your tongue, then blooms into rich, dark red fruit, highlighted with sweet notes of apricot, then oak turns the ride into caramel and bitter tannins floating under the remnants of plum Finish: suprisingly soft but moderately long finish compared to the age and how viscous the mouth feel is. Mostly bitter red fruit and oak on the sides of the tongue, but very soft and lingering Very great mouth feel, decadent flavors

Nose: Tweetart up front, red apple peel, musty malt Taste: a solid punch of instant dark fruit, followed by a rising sensation of lemon tartness. Oaky, vibrant, punchy, and sweet Finish: oak, sweet, and fruit tartness cling to the sides of the tongue, and a bitterness clings to the bottom. Huge fall off from the mid-palate, but the withering tail goes and goes

Nose: sweet, fruity, a bit of vanilla and oak punch. Bright and shiny with a red fruit depth Taste: soft and sweet to start, and builds to the strong sherry, oak, and bright vanilla Finish: lingering and sweet, with a bit of tart red fruit and bitter, smoldering oak

Nose: Raisin, grassy, pear, musty, a bit of oak and vanilla, but pretty muted Taste: soft to start, and a myriad of interesting swelling flavors: hay, pear, bitter musty notes, a bit medicinal, oak Finish: finish of bitter pear, oak, and malt Unlike anything I've ever had. Interesting, complex, and a bit off-putting Edit: as I continued to drink, had to come back and bump from 3.75 to 4.0. The flavors grew on me and I appreciated the complexity more and more

Lemon, earthy, bitter pepper, delicate flavors and punchy impact Finish: decent finish, the oak, lemon, and malt cling to top of the tongue. A little sweet, a little bitter

Nose: green apple, spicy cinnamon oak, fruity bright sweetness, cherry Taste: very light and sweet to start, and the oak builds in the mid palate. Very peppery and cinnamon heavy to close Finish: a light but clingy finish of spicy black pepper

Nose: softly sweet oak and caramel, with a bit of prickly baking spice Taste: sweet butterscotch and rich oak, with a bit of peanut brittle and baking spice Finish: tannin filled, spicy, medium length finish with sweet peanut brittle to balance it out

Nose: lots of red fruit and orange, cherry, and sweet oak Taste: very sweet, the orange comes through nicely with a bit of black pepper. Rye-ish without the baking spices, very sweet with a tickling of heat Finish: the sweetness quickly fades to the tingling black pepper and anise, that really lingers around a bit

Nose: orange creamsicle, oak, sweet cherry and vanilla Taste: sweet orange creamsicle, followed by poppings of black pepper and cherry, and sweet build up of rye spice Finish: the sweet orange and vanilla float around, and black pepper kisses the side of your tongue. The oak is a sweet blanket that wraps everything up nicely

Nose: Rich mixed berries and rye spice, dark caramel, very dense and sweet Taste: dark burnt sugars, strong oak, deep caramel, decadent sweetness and nice kiss of spice and chocolate Finish: the oak and caramel perfumes into dark chocolate, with swirling bitter oak and rye spice and a bit of tingling on the sides of the tongue
